mmmmmm…Shy, but I enjoy spontaneity. I’m a loyal friend and love outdoor activities along with indoor. I guess I’m more like a chameleon to where I change a little to fit the situation.

I’ve been with Private Quarters for just over a year and LOVE IT!!!!! I’ve been designing for 5 years.
Why did you choose your particular business? It’s works very well with Interior Design and I love the products.

What keeps you motivated?
New clients, new products and money honey.

Tell us a little about your family.
That’s a VERY long story. My husband and I will be having my Mom come to live with us and my niece. My Brother passed away in February 2010 and the other side of the Family is not good. We are dealing with them and courts as we speak. It’s been a difficult time and that’s another reason to keep me motivated and making money.

How do you prioritize family and your business?
Time blocking is the only way. Just like going to the office.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Group Leader with Private Quarters and doing lots of school stuff with little Kady Bug.

Biggest life lesson learned?
Use your head and your heart equally. You’ll get a better outcome and Karma does exist.

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and call your customers and “NO” is not personal.

What is your secret to success?
Love what you do. It always shows in how you treat people, do things and live your life.

All Entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
Depends. Usually talking to my husband works. He has a different perspective and it really helps. Friends are good for that too or a glass of wine and a good movie.

What was your sweetest success story?
I taught Ballroom Dancing for Arthur Murray Dance Studios and I was the top female instructor in the world. Which came down to selling the most lessons which means I was teaching my booty off.

How do you relax?
I enjoy a good movie with my husband and dogs. The best is the spa day, but can’t always do that. Shopping works me too.

What keeps you motivated?
Seeing the difference the extra income is making for my family and the endless income opportunity I have with Tupperware.

Tell us a little about your family.
I have 3 kids – 25 year old daughter, 22 year old son and 16 year old daughter, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a snake. Oh, plus a husband – can’t forget him! 25 year old is studying to become a firefighter, 22 year old has one more year at Cal Poly SLO studying Engineering and 16 year old princess will be a senior in high school.

How do you prioritize family and your business?
Prioritizing is not as much an issue with me now as it was when I started as my kids are grown. My husband and daughter help me with my business, so it’s more a family endeavor now. My family will always come first.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs?
I see myself as a Star Director with an award winning team!

Biggest life lesson learned?
Take each day that is given to you and make the most of that day, and be sure to tell the ones you love “I love you” every chance you get.

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
The customer is always right, even when they’re wrong. It’s all in the way you choose to spin it.

What is your secret to success?
Getting up each day and showing up for work. Keeping in contact with my customers, my team and keeping open to learning new things.

All Entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
A bad day for me would be a day when I am having a difficult time focusing on any single task. That usually means I need to take the day off and start fresh the next day. So, I take the day off.

What was your sweetest success story?
My sweetest success story continues to unfold as my business grows. But if I were to pick out a single moment in my Tupperware business it would be the $1,400.00 party I had when only 3 people showed up. That was a sweet moment!

How do you relax?
Read a book, swim and spend time with my daughter.

I have been in my business for about two years.

Why did you choose this business?I chose this business because I absolutely love the products. My friend was a consultant and she asked me to try some of the products. Everything she gave me to try I had to have. When she shared the business end of the company I was so impressed I knew I had to join!

What keeps you motivated?
What keeps me motivated is the enthusiasm of my sponsor and the whole company in general. They are the most wonderful women you can imagine, all with a common goal to make money, but also help other women along the way.

Please tell us about your family.
My family: We are a blended family. My husband and I each have three children ranging in age from 11-27. We have been married for 8 years. I have three sisters that I am very close to. I love spending time with my family!

How do you balance your family and your business?
When prioritizing family and my business, family has to come first. Second is my full time job as a 4th grade teacher which I love. My business is "Me" time. Each day I make the time for my business. Flexibility is part of the beauty of network marketing.

Where would you like to be in five years?
In five years from now there will most likely be only one child left in the house, so I will have even more time to commit to my business.

What is the biggest life lesson you have learned?
The biggest life lesson that I have learned is that happiness/success is a choice. I choose to wake up every morning and choose for it to be a good day or not. Also, I have learned in my business is to not take things personal and get upset when a potential client isn't as eager as I was to try Arbonne. I just move on to the next and don't let it get me down.

What is your secret to success?My secret to success is that I LOVE the business I am in. I had no prior sales experience before. I knew I had to truly believe in the product before I could ever begin to try to sell it.

Everyone has bad days here and there, how do you deal with yours?
When I have a bad day I talk to other Arbonne consultants. We all keep each other motivated and on the right track.

What is your sweetest success story?
My sweetest success story involved a teenager in high school. She was a daughter of a friend. She was having a difficult year because of her acne. She wanted to go to the prom, but refused to because she thought her face was too disgusting(her words). She had tried everything, including the popular one that begins with a "P". Nothing was working. I brought her over our line called Clear Advantage and told her to try it for a week. Five days later she called me in tears because she was so happy with the results. She was going to ask her "crush" the following Monday to go to the prom. I love my job!

What do you do to relax?
When I need to relax I like to read by our pool, go to the beach, take a yoga class, or a relaxing bath.

What is your favorite inspirational quote/thought?
My favorite inspirational thought is "With God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I had a school in Florida call and wanted to place an order for 350 handpainted Palm tree glasses. At first I thought "How am I going to paint that many glass? It took me 4 days to paint the glasses and 2 days to pack them! That just goes to show "you can do anything"!

I go to my craft room and create something...or go to Glen Ivy Hot Springs :)

I would describe myself as fun, casual, and laid-back. I love hanging out with friends chatting and having a glass of wine but I just as much enjoy staying home and watching TV with my husband.

How long have you been involved in your business?
I’ve been an Arbonne Consultant for over three years.

Why did you choose your particular business?
I attended an Arbonne presentation and really enjoyed myself and everyone else seemed to have a good time too. I was looking for good skincare so I bought the entire set at that party. The business interested me right away but I didn’t pursue the business right away. Then a few months later, I looked closely in the mirror and realized the products were really working, and I couldn’t see all those lines around my eyes anymore. That was really when that I decided to start my business.

What keeps you motivated?
I currently work a full time job and my biggest motivation is to be able to take time off when my husband and I start a family someday, hopefully someday soon.

Tell us a little about your family.
My husband and I live in Costa Mesa. He works for a major paint manufacturer in the research and development lab. We bought a house last year so we spend lots of time working on big and small projects around the house. We also like to ride our road bikes on the weekend and we take Pilates together twice a week.

How do you prioritize family and your business?
There is always a fine balancing act when you have your own business. What I like about being an Independent Consultant is that I am the one who sets my schedule and chooses what hours I want work. Rarely do I feel like I am making a choice between one or the other and my husband has always been very supportive.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs?
I plan to have a strong and steady team working with me and to move up in the consultant ranks of Arbonne.

Biggest life lesson learned?
The biggest life lesson I have learned is that attitude is everything. To achieve the things you want in life and to be truly happy you need to have a positive attitude and surround yourself with people who are a positive influence in your life.

Sticking with it. It’s not always easy but if you stick with it you see your hard work pay off.

When I have my bad days, I usually end up on an organizational spree and start to re-organize all my products and other business items. It makes me feel like I’m in control of something. During the process I always find a product or two I haven’t used myself in a while and I’ll start using it. Be it one of our lotions or a face mask, it reminds me again why I love the products and business.

What was your sweetest success story?
My sweetest success story would be my family. Sometimes the hardest people to win over are the people closest to you. When my sister decided to become a consultant also, that was a very sweet success.

How do you relax?
I relax by watching my favorite TV shows, such as CSI or Bones, or reading a book. For books, I love mystery, suspense, and the occasional romance novel.

I am an Independent Demonstrator and Senior Supervisor with Stampin’ Up! As a Demonstrator, I teach the art of rubber stamping and sell Stampin' Up!’s exclusive line of decorative rubber stamp sets and accessories for handmade cards, scrapbooking, craft projects, and home décor. As a Senior Supervisor, I mentor a team of six fabulous women who are building their own home based businesses with Stampin’ Up!

How long have you been involved in your business?
I have been teaching rubber stamping classes in Orange County for about a year but I have been stamping as a hobby for eight years.

Why did you choose your particular business?
I was attracted to the quality of the Stampin’ Up! products and the fact that everything was perfectly color coordinated. I’ve had people tell me that they used to drive around to different scrapbooks stores, buying a few things here and there. But once they got everything home, they never knew what to do with it because nothing matched! That is the beauty of Stampin’ Up! – it’s one stop shopping and you have a demonstrator (me!) to show you how to use your products. When your stamps, ink, papers, and embellishments coordinate, you’ll spend less time shopping trying to find things that match … which means you’ll have more time for crafting!

What keeps you motivated?
I love watching people when they stamp for the very first time. A lot of people don’t think of themselves as crafty, but once they get a stamp in their hand, a smile lights up their faces as they realize, “Wow! I can do this!”

Tell us a little about your family.
I am married to my best friend, Chris. We bought our first home last year and are working on fixing it up and furnishing it. Almost all of our remodeling projects are DIY, so we watch a lot of HGTV together!

How do you prioritize family and your business?
I schedule the majority of my classes on weeknights so I can spend the weekends with my family.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs?
My goal in 5 years is to be a Senior Manager and consistently earn the annual Incentive Trip!

Biggest life lesson learned?
It’s never too late to find one’s true calling!

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
I used to take rejection very personally. I’ve come to realize that “No” sometimes just means “Not now.”

What is your secret to success?
I take care of all of my customers like they are family.

I try not to dwell on what went wrong. Instead, I focus my thoughts on how I can prevent the same situation from happening again in the future.

We hope to be a very valuable resource for home party hostesses, boutique planners, and organizations that would like to fundraise with one of our many vendors. We also hope that we will be able to network and support one another.

If you are a consultant/vendor located in the Orange County area (Los Angeles, San Diego and the Inland Empire consultants are okay too), please contact me to get yourself listed! (A small $5.00 donation would be greatly appreciated for my time to post your information and promote this site!) Please note that I will accept more than one consultant for the same company as one person can't possibly be at more than one event at a time and we can all learn from one another!
